Are your wheels hand-built? Yes, all of our wheels are hand-built whether they are built in the
US or in our factory in Taichung, Taiwan. What is your warranty? We have a 2 year warranty on any manufacturer's defects. Do your wheels come with Quick Release skewers? Yes, all of our wheelsets come with proprietary ROL QR's. Weight per
pair: 111 grams. Please note that wheelset weights listed do not include
the Quick Release skewers. What payment options are available? Payment options include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal. Will I need rim strips on my ROL “clincher”
wheels? Yes, and to accommodate this, we install lightweight nylon rim strips on all of our clincher
wheelsets. What are your prices for shipping in the US? Domestic Shipping Prices: US Ground, Insured - $30 US 2 Day Shipping, Insured - $75 Do you ship overseas? Yes, but due to the disparate shipping charges between countries, we

Skype. We regularly ship to Canada, Europe, Australia and Puerto Rico.
We use US Postal for nearly all international shipments. The prices below for shipping are estimates only. The actual shipping price
will be quoted individually and will be based on the destination country.

exceed 130psi. Ride quality and traction are often compromised at
pressures over 130psi. What are the recommended rider weight limits for ROL wheels? VOLANT - 230lbs (104kg) RACE SL - 210lbs (95kg) D'HUEZ - 175lbs (79kg) CARBON 38 Tubular - 190lbs (86kg) MATRIX 38 Clincher - 210lbs (95kg) CARBON 58 Tubular - 215lbs (97kg) MATRIX 58 Clincher - 220lbs (100kg) POWERTAP SL+ Clincher - 220lbs (100kg) NOTE: Roadies and Triathletes exceeding the recommended
weight limits on the Race SL and D'Huez should consider requesting a
higher spoke-count (24/28) build. A few extra spokes at just
4 grams each will provide improved strength and lateral stiffness. Heavier or
more powerful riders require added stiffness for adequate and safe power
transmission. Please contact a ROL representative at
info@rolwheels.com to learn more. Are your hubs Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM
compatible? Yes, all of our hubs can be prepared with either Shimano, Campagnolo or
SRAM compatible cassette bodies. Our “Shimano” hub bodies
are compatible with Shimano 8, 9 and 10 speed Shimano cassettes as well
as all SRAM cassettes. For 2008, all of our “Shimano”
cassettes bodies will accommodate 8-10 speed Shimano as well as the new
SRAM RED, FORCE and RIVAL cassettes. Shimano has begun to transition
away from its 10 speed specific cassette body spline height. As you may
recall, Shimano's Dura Ace wheelsets came with cassette bodies whose
spline heights were taller than the 8 and 9 speed height we'd all grown
accustomed to. As a result, no one using SRAM cassettes or USCA Junior
Gearing could install their cassettes on Dura Ace wheelsets. For Campagnolo,
we support 9, 10 and 11 speed. For the Race SL, D’Huez, Carbon and Matrix
wheels, please specify 11 speed on the order and a special spacer will be
provided. Do your wheels come with extra spokes? Yes. All our wheels come with one extra spoke for each spoke length used
in the wheelset purchased. If I break a spoke, do I need to send the wheel back
to ROL Wheels? No, in the unlikely event that you break a spoke, any qualified
mechanic can replace the spoke with a standard J-Bend spoke and get you
back on the road. It is important however that your mechanic bring the
wheel to high and consistent spoke tension. We can provide spoke tension
“spec” to your favorite bike shop upon request. What is the difference between the VOLANT hubset and
the hubset used on the RACE SL, D'HUEZ and Carbon models? Both ROL hubs are designed and manufactured to ROL's exacting standards.
Weight and bearing sizes are the primary differences. All front hubs
employ the standard 2-bearing design and the rear hubs employ a
4-bearing design. Do you build PowerTap wheels? Yes, we custom build our RACE SL and all of our Carbon models with the
PowerTap SL+ hub. Please contact us with questions at
info@rolwheels.com. What is the Coupon Code button used for in the online store? We utilize the coupon code functionality in the shopping cart software to
facilitate online purchases by authorized OEs and IBDs. |
